Lophophora williamsii 18 Years Old – 13cm “The Buster”

13 cm end to end, this is one hellava plant. As you can see, he is busting out of his current pot. He has 3 heads with the main head measuring a whopping 9cm in diameter.

Texana Origin & Habitat

Origin and Habitat: Grows in an area that stretches from from the Chihuahuan Desert to the South Texas Plains, on either side of the middle and lower Rio Grande River, southward to the Mexican state of San Luís Potosí. Extensive stands of peyote occur on the low, rocky hills in Starr, Zapata, Webb, and Jim Hogg counties of southern Texas.
Habitat: Grows isolated or in groups usually in calcareous deserts, on rocky slopes, or in dried river beds.

Lophophora Care

• Substrate: Very gritty mix with little to no organic material (fertilise with each feed)
• Watering: Spring to Autumn (April to September), infrequently
• Light: Natural or artificial (while young), South facing window or greenhouse.
