NOTE: I realise the add-on substrate seems expensive but the weight of the substrate pushes the shipping over large letter to small parcel. It is to make up the shipping cost difference and I still take a small hit. Thanks for understanding.

Lophophora williamsii are very slow growing, small, spineless cacti that originate out of Mexico and Texas. They are used to growing in the most arid of regions and have adapted to requiring very little water to survive.

Largely due to over harvesting in their natural habitat, Peyote have become an endangered species in the wild.

For seeds, best germination is Takeaway Tek. Substrate mix should be a 50/50 (organic / inorganic) mix, perlite can be used as the inorganic medium.

Substrate: Very gritty mix with little to no organic material
Watering: Spring to Autumn (April to September), infrequently
Light: Natural or artificial (while young), South facing window or greenhouse

Having great success with these seeds so far. 25 have germinated as of writing this review, with new ones still popping up! The seed/seedling care guide email was also a nice touch with some useful information. I also ordered the seedling substrate which is working really well. My housemate and I are big fans of this site, you can tell Byron is very passionate about these awesome cacti. I will be back!

Good germination rate

Seeds gave 38 seedlings out of 50, better than others out there. Good service will be ordering again thanks.

Seeds came quicker than expected and was given excellent advice to go with them regarding germination and getting the plants a head start. I’d highly recommend getting some substrate to go with if you’re new to cacti as I am! Having received the service I did my seeds now have a far better chance than they would of had I been left I my own devices.

I am still waiting to see what my germination rate is like but I’m very excited and have faith
